Steps that apears here are done with “Admin” because is the default user
First time you login on Zabbix there are some task to do to personalice your experience and start receiving notifications. To do that you need to click on menu option “User settings” on left menu, and then on “Profile”.
Add a media for your user
Before receiving notifications you need to configure the email address (or any other method you prefer) for your user. On profile page you can see a tab calling “Media”. On this tab you can add an “Add” link who opens a config windows for configure your notifications options. After this, don’t forget to press “Update” button or your changes will be lost.
Change Admin user password
By default, Zabbix AMI uses instance-id as password. This is a secure way to protect access, but surely you prefer change it for once more easy to remember or that ensure your security policy.
From Profile page, on “User” tab, you can change Admin user password by click on “Change password” button, set your new password twice and click on “Update” button.
Change your languaje
From Profile page, on “User” tab, you can select which languaje you want for this user interface from selector “Language”. Changes are efective once you select a new languaje, save by pressing “Update” button and login again.
