About imaxe

A small workshop that takes servers seriously

imaxe («image» in Galician) was born from a concrete frustration: inheriting servers built on images nobody maintained. We decided to do a few things, very well done.

Why we exist

For years we administered other people's infrastructures: most started with a catalog AMI someone launched on a Tuesday and never touched again. When Bitnami stopped maintaining its free images, thousands of teams suddenly discovered what that means: production stacks without patches, without living documentation and with no one on the other end.

imaxe.cloud is our answer. A deliberately short catalog of images we run in production ourselves, patched every week, audited daily and with a real person answering the tickets.

How we work

Each image is built from scratch with a reproducible chain: a minimal Ubuntu LTS base, CIS hardening, the stack tuned for AWS and the imaxe tool to operate it afterwards. If we wouldn't maintain a component for ourselves, it doesn't make it into the catalog.

Principle 01

Few images, well cared for

We prefer a short catalog we can guarantee over an endless list that rots. Every new AMI competes to get in.

Principle 02

Maintenance by default

Weekly patching and daily CVE audits aren't a premium plan: they're the minimum definition of the product.

Principle 03

People, not tickets

Support is answered by whoever builds the images. If something fails, you talk to the person who can fix it.

4images in the catalog, all in our own production
52patching windows a year, no exceptions
